Ingredients:
# 4 chicken legs and thighs or 4 chicken breasts (deboned)

Spice Paste:
# 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds
# 2 stalks lemon grass
# 6 shallots (peeled)
# 2 cloves garlic (peeled)
# 4 tablespoons of cooking oil
# 1 teaspoon of chili powder
# 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder
# 4 spoons of Kecap Manis
# 1 spoon of Oyster Sauce

Others:
# Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 2 hours to avoid burning)
# 1 cucumber (skin peeled and cut into small pieces)

Directions:
Cut the chicken meat into small cubes.

Grind the Spice Paste in a food processor.

Add in a little water if needed.

Marinate the chicken pieces with the spice paste for 10-12 hours (or even overnight in the fridge).

Thread the meat on to bamboo skewers and grill for 2-3 minutes each side.

Serve hot with fresh cucumber pieces. You may also serve with onions cut into quarters.

yes, thank you. I have to find time to do it. The weather is getting cold. Summer is a good time for BBQ.

next time you are back in malaysia invest in a small satay barbeque. and satay is great when the weather is cold!!! hot satay on a cold wintery night... blisss :P

Over here most people BBQ in Summer. When i retired from nursing , i may think about investing in some kind of business in Malaysia but not Satay. I am running a small business in ebay. Check me out . My seller I.D is uptownbargains. If you ever interested in any American Good let me know. I hope you are not anti-American like Ryan's father.

wasn't talking about a business. was talking about the satay charcoal barbeque which measures about 1.5 to 2 feet by 6 inches and is maybe about 4 inches to 5 inches deep. it costs less than 100 Ringgit. I'm Anti-Bush! LOL
